"Candy Shoulders"

Deleted Account 2/25/2013 06:25 am 1165

So, at some of the events I've been going to, I'd been seeing people wearing these things on their shoulders. I'm not sure what it's called, but they look really cool. Does anybody know what they're called or how to make them? I can try to find a photo of one. Basically these- http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4rj0iUFOB1rqj7fbo1_1280.jpg but without the front cover part.

i believe they're called "Kandi armor" or "kandi shield" I'll bet they're made from peyote stitch, maybe like the triangles of a kandikini or kandana?

Out of "kandi armor" that I've seen which isn't much, that looks like the simplest way to do it.

The shoulders he made are basically bikini/bandana triangles and instead of completing them all of the way down to four beads tall for what would be the back-strap, he left nine tall and attached them to the rest of his piece.

Of course that is an assumption. That's how I would do it at least if I were to go about a project like that.

I think it's called Kandi armor. I know someone who has something similar. Sadly I have NO idea how they did it :/
