if im making a bag, and flip it side ways so the top part would be smooth how do i attach flap and button?

can a flap and button be attached if its side ways? will it look okay? plz explain how (full detail)thx!!

you can probably attach the button by tying it on to a bead or something like that you'll have to make the flap side ways so that when you go to attach it it's smooth side to smooth side then you can use a plastic needle to do a kind of zig zag in the exposed string sorry if its confusing, i hope it helped
