HELP!How to tell a friend that you need to stop talking to them because its toxic friendship

I need to stop talking to a friend of mine because he keeps flirting with me and then blames it on me. His girlfriend keeps telling me to stop flirting with him and I tell her the truth but she doesn't believe me for some reason. I decided not to be friends with him anymore. I feel too bad to tell him but, I don't like him and I told his girlfriend what I can do to prove it to her and she says nothing but, I ran out of things to do and I'm so close to ignoring him when he lightens my day a little more. His girlfriend actually hates me and that the most important reason why I need to stop talking to him because of my safety but I don't think he would understand and then tell his girlfriend. It's at the point were I'm secretly texting him on another app that I'm not used to texting on. Any advice???
