New to Kndi

Okay, so here's the basics. I didn't understand Kndi until a friend explained it to me, and now I think it's the coolest thing ever. I came across a tutorial to make a cuff using the herring-bone stitch, which has been the easiest tutorial I've found besides the one on this site of how to make a basic cuff. I suppose I understand that, but what are some steps I should take to working up to more serious things, like masquerade masks, goggles, or skirts? I don't want to take on something too seriously too quickly, but at the same time I'm very anxious to get started. I know, I'm new to all this, and I'm looking like that one idiot that can't do anything right, but I promise that I'll contribute to this site as soon as I can stop acting like a floundering fish out of water. So please tell me some stuff I should work on next. Pretty please?

Make whatever you want!! There's no such thing as "beginner kandi". sure, some techniques are easier than others, but that doesn't mean they're for "beginners". If you find some good tutorials (i suggest GingerCandE and CellularMango (her youtube is down until summer)). Find a tutorial thats easy to follow happy

heres wat i started with to the end. singles, cuff, ladder, surgical mask, x base/extended, 3d, goggles, glove, wallet, ninja mask/ beanie, ears, gloves with fingers, and then belts/collars and mini shirt for my stuffed panda :3 honestly there is no "expirience" when making kandi. Yes you get better and understand it more but i see it as levels. The first time you learn a basic stitch you can move on to the next level with that stitch (think of it like skyrim xD) basics are multi, peyote, x base, and i believe herring bone could be considered. I no everyone of these now and now im able to create my own new things =^-^= ... sorry if i was babbling XD and you dont seem like an idiot :3 everyone starts out somewhere and i felt like an idiot when i first started haha. Just remember kandi gives you ultimate freedom. Express yourself, have fun with it, and use it to make friends :3

Once you learn the basic stitches, you can make anything. A backpack looks complicated; but all you need to know how to make is a pac-man ghost & a multi cuff. you just need to learn different stitches and techniques happy

You dont even need tutorials all you need is a good imagination (: and the sooner you try something new, the sooner you'll learn how to make it. You may fail the first time but if you do hopefully you've learned from your mistake to make it right the next time. Lol after practice you wont be messing up that much either so give it a shot, go for the epics ! (:

make whatever you want! there really are no "beginners" when is comes to kandi, my first piece of kandi was an epic as long as you can find a good tutorial and/or your friend is willing to help you you can make anything you want

I'd say to get familiar with the different kinds of stitches (multi, peyote, ladder) there are some good tutorials on this site, and also at http://kandikrafter.nl/home.htm . Start with small things, and work your way up. And try experimenting with the beads by yourself too. Part of making kandi is being creative and unique.
