I pretty much just used an x base for the black and white. For the rainbow, i made like, little spikes all the way around (5 beads per spike), connected them with two beads and continued that to the purple. After the purple i did bigger, more spread out spikes, in black (11 per spike, except one that had 13), connected them with one white bead. Then made smaller white spikes (5 per spike) and connected them with a black bead, and voila!
