it depends on what kind of case you like. personally, I place my iPhone in a hard skin/shell first and then into a case for protection. so I like my cases to be closed in - no screen showing

I think it would be better to have the gameboy on the back, and then have a hole for your ipod's screen on the front. But that's just my opinion..

you can make it like this and not be able to use a touch screen or you can leave out the beads for the screen and make it so you can atleast change the song or turn off ur ipod touch without taking it out of the case. If you can tell where the volume buttons are you can also adjust the volume if the screen isn't usable.
