I like the letters from the dollar tree, wouldn't really recommend the pony beads though (they're alright if you need to practice new things, which is what I used mine for when I had a bunch) I do think the letters are a bit smaller than 'normal' ones, but they've got a lot of colors of them (red orange yellow green blue purple & pink!!!! ~they used to have ones that were just red green blue pink and purple I think they were... I have a bunch of those but the new ones are a lot better) and they're decent quality for the price. Some have a little extra color on them, (doesn't really bother me too much, idk about anyone else) but as far as broken ones, out of ten bags not too many of mine have been broken. It's super fun to be able to pick out exactly the letter I need in the color I need.

@xxNightShade: You call that a great deal, considering Walmart sells them for 1.97? Man you must clearly be off your rocker.

The other day I got a bowl of 2300 beads from Wal-Mart for 8.00 I think. That is the only place I buy beads so I don't know about any others

I like going to Joanns fabric. They have the 2300 count assorted colors beads for about $15 and always have coupons on retailmenot usually for like 50% so its a box for $7. The bags of 720 count are about $3-$5 but they have a limited color options unless you're ordering online. Walmart is cheap too tho they just don't have coupons

When I need a specific color or I just want a little pack I go to the dollor store that is 5 minutes away but when I want to buy beads in bulk I go to the walmart that is half an hour away but when I want TONS of beads I go to micheales which is 1 hour and 30 minutes away big grin

I have seen the Dollar Tree. (if there is one in your area.) I wouldn't recommend them though. The bags of beads I saw were of really poor quality. Wal-Mart is decent. The craft stores are good. I suggest ponybeadstore.com. You can get bulk bags of pony beads in virtually any color you want and they are always really nice.
