Ohio!

I live in southern Ohio and I never see anyone wearing Kandi. Is it just me? I'm curious to know if other Ohioans make Kandi?

I am from the central Ohio area and I'd like to say that I don't think kandi is that obscure. I know that it's not a huge cultural thing like it is in areas with a really big rave scene but I personally have meet many kandi kids. The number one place I meet them is at anime cons (how I got into kandi ) but I've also seen them at hookah bars, festivals (like comfest & pride) , night clubs, malls, and near OSU campus. Normally there needs to be an event for people to bust a lot of kandi out and I will admit our rave seen isn't the strongest but I believe that's based on who you know. We also should work harder to collectively start an Ohio kandi community that holds trades and making parties to further grow the culture.

In high school I use to make kandi at lunch and a lot of people were interested in it so I started teaching people how to make kandi in school. If your passion is really strong you can spread it to others and that's how the Ohio kandi community will really start to grow.

Also if anyone is attending ohayocon this month I'll be there decked out in kandi during the nights and I'd love to trade if you see me!

Oh honey, I'm out in a tiny ass town in New Mexico and let me tell you, there ain't shit out here. No con raves, no nothing, just a tiny ass town that just got a freaking Walgreen's last year and the old Denny's got remodeled. Wear your kandi though, PLUR it up wherever you are!

If you don't already know, Kandi is really common among ravers. Raves, which are huge dance parties, are more the norm in highly populated places, such as California.

@GlowGhost: Yeah! I go to BG every year for the anime convention in the spring. Last year I was Andrew Hussie from Homestuck. I went to the rave and barely anyone had kandi on tho. I felt a bit decked out in mine

@RavanatheBlack: Northwest? Are you anywhere near Bowling Green? They've got a decent little scene over there and from what I understand from my friends who travel to Cle/Akr from BG they still love kandi!

Good news, stay strong! Both my promotions company and another from our area are exploring expansion into the Cinci area as early as summer/fall of next year
