Tell them that you can't take those electives for all four years. At my high school, only 2 years of PE is required. Also tell them that your education cannot be taken away from you!

High school will be the most memorable event in your life, as you should mention that as well. Now I am not sure how the schools in your state works, so what I could be saying is not even applicable to you.

Try talking about the benefits of taking a language. Talk about how much anime you watch and how it would benefit you to know the language since you are into watching shows that are in a different language versus in English. (I am assuming you watch anime because you want to take Japanese.)

You could also mention that if you do bad in your elective classes, because it's not something you wanna do, that will affect your GPA.

If this does not work, you could have a talk with the school counselors and have them reschedule your classes early in the school year. Explain to them the issue at hand, and they would be more than happy to help.

Good luck! rainbowsmile

P.S. I am so jealous your school has Japanese available! I would've taken that as my language elective, but it wasn't there. I had chosen Sign Language. Which is fine since I was curious of how the language worked. (I had thought everything was spelled with the hand, but each word has it's own sign! Such as the middle finger is...well you know laugh)

Alright bye now!
