Do patterns stay in the voting page forever?

When a pattern is getting voted, will it stay on there UNTIL it gets enough votes or does it disappear after a few weeks because I really don't want to spend forever hoping patterns get accepted.

Sorry, you are unable to reply. If the thread is still open, you might have been blocked from commenting due to spam or abuse, or we might not have been able to verify that you are a real account. Try updating your profile and interacting more on the site. There are greater restrictions on forum comments due to spam. Spam comments will still not be published, even for verified accounts

Patterns only stay on the voting page for 2-3 days, and are approved based on their relative number of votes. So if all the other patterns submitted around the same time have 15+ and yours only has 5 (for example), it won't be approved and will be removed from the voting page. There are some exceptions to that, like if a pattern is amazing but not of a popular theme, but that's normally how it works. If we left the patterns on there forever every pattern would eventually be approved (might just take years, lol)
