Can you paint over perler beads?

I can't go out to get some for awhile and I'm running low on the colors I need

ive painted over perler beads tons of times. it only works if uve already ironed it n dnt plan on ironing it agin. ive done things like just put on blacklight reflective paint or completely covered up the perler design itself with paint. if ur using nail polish though be careful becuase if u try to bend the peler creation to much the nail polish does crack n fall off.the best substitute for just normla paint ive used on perler beads is puffy or fabric paint. its bright it doesnt crack itll bend with the beads and u can use just small dots n lines on ur perler creation to mkae it 3d.

Before ironing, no probably not... but if you paint afterwards it would probably work if you seal it with something after...
