What's a good brand of string to use?

I currently use Stretch Magic but I've seen people saying that they stopped using it cause it broke a lot and I don't want to risk it :p so yeah, good brand to use?

Depends on your preference. You can use stretch magic if you like clear elastic. If you want cloth covered, I recommend Clubhouse Crafts or Walmart sewing stretch cloth. You get like 25 yards (in the darker colors) of Clubhouse for $2.99 and you get 5 yards for $0.97 with the seeing cloth elastic at Walmart. :3 hope this helped.

I think it depends on what you're making . Bead n' Stretch(what I use) tends to become TOO stretchy and worn out after awhile especially in bigger projects. I haven't had too many problems with it though so I think Bead n' Stretch should be good ^~^

If you want elastic you should get stretch magic or bead n' stretch (.5 or .7 I recommend) and if you want elasticated string (elastic that feels like its covered in fabric) you should buy it here: http://kandipatterns.com/post/kandisupplies

It depends on what I'm making. (: My 3D cuffs I use .7 mm elastic string, usually stretch magic. For my necklaces and bags and wallets and peyotes and other big things I use at least 10 lb weight test fishing line. In regular cuffs and singles, I've been using .5 mm elastic string I bought from EBay for real cheap.! It's purple and it has lasted me a long time. (: Hope I helped. -Plurlove

I've never had a problem with Stretch Magic in my experience. The only problem I have with it is price since I'm always broke it seems. The Bead N' Stretch from Wal-Mart isn't bad either (On occasion, Bead N' Stretch has a tendency to snap when your working on something). It's just a matter of knowing when to use stretchy elastic cord. Some projects call for something more sturdy like fishing line while your average cuff you can do fine with Stretch Magic or whatever stretch cord you have readily available. I hope this was helpful. You will get a variety of opinions on this and all of them are good. Just play around with the string you use to see what you like to work with best.
