problems with stretch cord please help

I am very new to kandi just starting, I bought 0.8mm crystal stretch cord but if u tie it it just comes appear even if tied multiple times and is impossible to add more string on, is this just too thick or is it the wrong type, and I can't get from Wal-Mart or Michaels as I'm in the uk

After you tie it off, Add some clear nail polish to the knot. Let it drie for a minute then trim the excess happy

I always use .7mm -1 1mm fiber covered stretch thread. its pretty easy to find holds a lot better. and if you order it online you can usually find tons of neat colors and get a huge spool for really cheap. checkout ebay!

Is it clear string, like plastic? If so, many people have had the same problem with an American brand. It's not necessarily the "wrong" type because it works for some people and certain types of kandi, but if you're having problems with it you should try the fabric-covered kind of string instead.
